At a meeting with representatives from outstanding family businesses nationwide on Friday in Hanoi, Hue further said decisions and policies of the Party and State are always for the benefit of people and businesses, and put people and businesses in the center.

He said: "Businesses, especially family businesses, should pay more attention to improving business management capacity, and building, cultivating, and practicing ethics, business culture, and national spirit and desire to contribute to building a strong Vietnam. They need to uphold social responsibility for sustainable development and represent a developed, civilized and happy Vietnam. It is necessary to take ethics as the core of building Vietnamese business culture."

Hue said the National Assembly will continue to promote a high sense of responsibility and operational efficiency, promulgate correct and timely decisions, ensure stability, synchronization, unity, and security to ensure an open, transparent business environment, healthy and fair competition, promote production and business, and create favorable conditions for the operations of the Vietnamese business community.

Family businesses currently account for 70% of the number of businesses in Vietnam excluding more than 5 million individual businesses which can be considered micro family businesses.
