Nguyen Thi Nga, Deputy Director of the State Records and Archives Department of Vietnam, said that the The 200 archive documents and images of the day of liberating the capital allow us to relive those glorious moments, the historic moments when the Vietnamese nation gained independence and liberated the capital.
“The documents take us back 70 years when Hanoi’s people joyfully welcomed the first moments of being in control of their own destiny and entered a new period of socialist construction. These important documents will contribute to the education of the younger generation about Vietnamese patriotism and Vietnam’s heroic history,” said Nga.
