The performance, called “Friendship Bridge”, was organized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of Vietnamese Cultural Day in Beijing.
In his opening remarks, Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien said: “The art program highlights Vietnam’s beautiful natural landscapes and friendly people to preserve and promote its age-old traditions. The audience is introduced to Vietnam’s cultural uniqueness and to the cultural similarities of Vietnam and China.”
The audience enjoyed famous songs and dances from both countries. Chinese poet Zhu Se Se told VOV: “It’s a joy to participate in the Vietnamese Cultural Day in Beijing. My trip to Vietnam earlier this year changed all my ideas about Vietnam. Its culture typifies the strong spirit of the Vietnamese people and proved really attractive to me. I love Vietnam.”
