National blood donation campaign launched

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s voluntary blood donation campaign, known as “Red Journey”, was launched in the Mekong Delta province of Ca Mau on Thursday. 3,000 blood units are expected to be collected in Ca Mau.

Blood donor Nguyen Hong Nguyen said: “I think blood donation is important. It helps patients and improves the health of donors. It does no harm at all. I feel very happy when I share my blood to save others’ lives.”

The Ca Mau provincial People’s Committee took this occasion to honor outstanding individual and organizational blood donors. 37 other localities will join Ca Mau in this year’s “Red Journey”.
