The event also launched the DNA Bank of unidentified martyrs and their relatives.
The conference attendants were people who have contributed a great deal to the revolution; veteran revolutionary cadres; pre-uprising cadres; and people who took part in the revolution, resistance wars, national defense, and international duty and were imprisoned or exiled by the enemy.
Among the attendants were also relatives of martyrs who have made many contributions to the revolutionary cause, fighting, protecting and building the Fatherland.
Wounded soldier Luong Van A, from Soc Trang, said “When I attend the conference of people with meritorious services in Hanoi, I am so proud. This is my first time going to Hanoi. I see that the State is extremely thoughtful towards policy families and people with meritorious services.”
