In his opening remarks, Ambassador Pham Viet Hung said, “The Party and the State have adopted major policies highlighting the importance of science and technology. General Secretary and President To Lam has stressed the need to immediately create breakthrough actions, spread results, strongly shift from a management mindset to a development-oriented mindset, and encourage experimental mechanisms, embrace innovation, and boost national digital transformation.”
Participants analyzed the strengths of Vietnamese intellectuals in Thailand, domestic development needs and bilateral relations. Discussions focused on digital infrastructure, population data management, and traceability of agricultural and aquatic products.
Tran Thi Hue, representative of the Vietnam Office for Science and Technology in Thailand, announced the official launch of the Network of Vietnamese Intellectuals in Thailand in June 2026, aiming for an annual networking forum.
There was a traditional exchange program commemorating the 136th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19).
