Cabled on the occasion of the PPP candidate Yoon Suk-yeol winning the country’s presidential election, the message expressed Trong’s confidence in further development and prosperity for the country and its people under the pair’s leadership.

The Vietnamese Party leader stated that in the past time, the Vietnam - RoK strategic cooperative partnership has developed strongly, practically, and effectively in all fields with the participation of their political parties, governments, parliaments, businesses and people.

He also highlighted his wish and willingness to work with the two RoK leaders in fostering the sound relationship between the two parties and nations in the time to come.

Vietnam and the RoK established bilateral diplomatic relations on December 22, 1992. They are working to raise their two-way trade to 100 billion USD by 2023 and 150 billion USD by 2030.
