Thu is now a second-year student of Ton Duc Thang University in Ho Chi Minh city. She is 175cm tall and weighs 56kg. In 2018 she won the Asian prize of a Charming Can Gio contest to promote tourism in Ho Chi Minh City, a competition organized by the municipal Department of Culture and Sports.
The annual Miss Teen International contest began in 1993 and Sweden’s Sofia Andersson is the first winner. Miss Teen International was formed in 1993 under the ownership of Enrique González, head quartered in Costa Rica. In 2016, Enrique González sold the Miss Teen International franchise to Indian businessman Nikhil Anand. Since 2018, the pageant has been held in India.
