PM Hung is also Head of the Government Steering Committee on Science, Technology, Innovation, Digital Transformation and the Project on the Development of Data Applications on Population, Identification and Electronic Authentication to Serve National Digital Transformation in the period 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030 (Project 06).
Chairing the third meeting of the Steering Committee in 2026, Prime Minister Hung requested a focus on the coordinated development of digital infrastructure and comprehensive transformation. He urged for seamless data connectivity and sharing to improve national governance efficiency and provide maximum convenience for citizens and businesses.
“Develop strategic technologies strongly and achieve concrete results in 2026, not just follow trends. All strategic technology task groups are for the ministries to accomplish now. Sporadic research must be shifted to commissioned research, with specific products, specific markets, and specific financial mechanisms. We accept risks and control them,” PM Hung said.
