The ceremony, held at the Road 9 National Martyrs’ Cemetery in the central province of Quang Tri, was also attended by local officials, delegations from Laos’ Savannakhet and Khammouane provinces, and local residents.

PM Hung and other delegates expressed deep gratitude to the fallen soldiers who laid down their lives for national independence, reunification, and international missions, helping nurture the enduring Vietnam-Laos friendship.

The Road 9 National Martyrs’ Cemetery is the final resting place of more than 10,800 martyrs.

The same day, PM Hung offered incense and flowers at the Truong Son National Martyrs’ Cemetery, the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel special national relic site, and the relic site dedicated to 8 youth volunteers.
