In his opening remarks, the Prime Minister said Vietnam will celebrate 70th anniversary of national reunification in 2045 and that Vietnam is confident to realize President Ho Chi Minh’s wish to make Vietnam a strong country to stand shoulder to shoulder with the world’s powers.

Prime Minister Phuc says, 'To make our people rich and our country strong, we need to focus on the national economy and people’s livelihood. If we want to stand shoulder to shoulder with powers around the world, we must have strong businesses and competitive brands at the regional and global levels, and competent human resources who can undertake great jobs of the country. To that end, it is necessary to free all resources and potential of and mobilise the strength of nearly 100 million Vietnamese people, including overseas Vietnamese, and at the same time attract and bring into full play international resources from integration and globalisation and from both direct and indirect investments.'

At the dialogue, leaders of many economic groups praised the goal of making Vietnam a strong country that the Prime Minister set out. They recommended the government to promote the support industry, improve competitiveness of the supply chains, prioritize investment in transport infrastructure, and enhance internal strength to exploit external resources.

Vo Quang Hue of the Vinfast Complex said, 'We understand that it’s not easy to succeed in this new period. We must multiple our efforts and rally support from the Vietnamese State, society and people. But we believe that with aspiration for contribution, strong will, and correct strategies, Vinfast will achieve its goal. Vinfast wants to spread the spirit of “Strong Vietnam” to the community. With Vietnam’s strong spirit, we will together make Vietnam stronger, more prosperous, and confident to stand shoulder to shoulder with powers in the world.'

Dialogue 2045 will be held annually with different themes and chaired by Vietnamese Party and State leaders.
