In the first phase, a 90km section will be built in 3 years at a cost of 590 million USD. The expressway is designed for a speed of 80 km/h.
PM Chinh said that this has been the biggest transport infrastructure project in Cao Bang province so far.
The project will create a new vital international expressway for the transport of goods from Lach Huyen International Port (Hai Phong city) to Chongqing - Urumqi (China) - Khorgos (Kazakhstan) and then to European countries, he said.
The same day, PM Chinh inspected the operation of the Cao Bang Iron and Steel Plant in Cao Bang city.
