The forum was held within the framework of the Summit commemorating the 35th anniversary of relations between ASEAN and Russia, in the Russian city of Kazan.
According to the Prime Minister, both sides need to cooperate in building stable, flexible, and resilient supply chains against external fluctuations; and at the same time, develop transportation routes connecting the Russian Far East with Southeast Asia. He emphasized that energy should become a key pillar of cooperation in ASEAN-Russia relations.
The Prime Minister said he believes that both sides have potential and room for cooperation such as developing clean energy, LNG, hydrogen, offshore wind power, and energy-saving technologies. Mr. Hung affirmed that technology, innovation, and digital transformation are among the important directions of cooperation between ASEAN and Russia in the coming period.
Prime Minister Hung said Vietnam is ready to play a bridging role, contributing to promoting trade and investment cooperation between ASEAN and the Eurasian Economic Union and with Russia in particular, thereby jointly building new value chains for the future that bring mutual benefits.
Also on Wednesday, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and the high-level Vietnamese delegation visited the "Made in Tatarstan" exhibition, an event often held alongside major events and summits in Tatarstan.
