PM Hung chaired the Government’s lawmaking session in Hanoi, which discussed the Customs Law, the revised Investment Law, the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the State Bank Law, the Anti-Money Laundering Law and the Law on Credit Institutions.
Other laws on the agenda included the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of 10 laws related to administrative procedures and investment and business conditions in agriculture and environment; the Publishing Law; and the Law on Vietnamese workers going to work abroad under contract.
Agreeing with the proposals of the drafting agencies, Prime Minister Hung urged for serious consideration, revision, and improvement of the draft laws and resolutions, considering it a key and ongoing task.
"Legal institution building and improvement as well as law enforcement oversight must be identified as a key, continuous, and ongoing task of ministries and central agencies. Focus intensely on reviewing the legal system, especially on urgent issues such as land law and other laws already mentioned, identify which regulations need further study to promptly propose which documents need improvement."
The Prime Minister requested that ministries and agencies focus resources on and promptly finalize the dossiers of draft laws to be submitted to the upcoming specialized legislative session and the second session of the 16th National Assembly, ensuring quality and progress, and avoiding prolonged coordination or delays in reaching consensus between agencies that could affect the progress of the documentation.
