According to Deputy Foreign Minister Dang Hoang Giang, the PM’s participation reaffirms that ASEAN remains a top strategic priority in Vietnam’s foreign policy, while underscoring the country’s strong commitment to ASEAN Community building.

The visit aims to strengthen coordination with ASEAN member states to help maintain a peaceful and stable environment, uphold unity and ASEAN centrality, and enhance the bloc’s capacity to respond to emerging challenges.

Deputy Minister Giang said Vietnam will work closely with other members to effectively implement the 2026 Chair’s priorities and the ASEAN Community Vision 2045, while promoting peace, security, and stability, reinforcing ASEAN’s central role in the regional architecture, and addressing pressing issues such as energy security, food security, and citizen protection.
