Addressing a meeting on science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in Hanoi on Tuesday, he stressed the need to complete and effectively operate national databases to support leadership, governance, and decision-making, while improving the delivery of online public services.
While noting that a list of strategic technologies and products has already been issued, the PM called for the removal of institutional and policy bottlenecks, with a focus on identifying and addressing obstacles that hinder the transition from research and development to commercialization and market access.
He also emphasized the need for breakthrough financial mechanisms tailored to support science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
PM Hung encouraged greater private-sector participation in investing in, operating, and utilizing research and testing infrastructure, as well as in commercializing strategic technology products, particularly in sectors with strong potential for early deployment.
