He asked the sector to work harder to earn an export turnover of agriculture, forestry, and seafood of more than 43 billion USD in 2020.
Mr. Phuc stressed the need to establish 2,000 agricultural cooperatives and build more processing factories and high-tech agricultural production areas.
“In 2020, we need to restructure the agricultural sector, focus on commodity-based agriculture, high-tech applications, preservation of agricultural products, and market expansion. We should improve our quality and expand markets to other countries, especially the EU,” the PM said.
