Chairing a working session in Hanoi with the Ministry of Education and Training on the key and urgent tasks assigned, the Prime Minister pointed out that the Ministry needs to finalize and immediately submit for promulgation documents and projects.
They include the Decree on the exemption of textbooks for general education and the roadmap for tuition fee exemption, and the curriculum for national defense and security education subjects at higher education and vocational education institutions.
Other tasks include the decree regulating the national scholarship fund; and the approval of the National Education System Structure Framework and the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.
PM Hung also mentioned the investment plan aimed at building infrastructure and improving the operational quality of several major universities in Vinh, Hue, Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Quy Nhon, transforming them into prestigious training centers in the region and the world.
The Prime Minister said he hopes that the Ministry's leadership will be more proactive, decisive, thorough, and effective, focusing on removing bottlenecks and ensuring greater progress and tangible results.
