“The challenges of climate change and ecological imbalance are greatly affecting the sustainability of Vietnam’s agriculture, especially in the Mekong Delta, the country's granary hub. Despite difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences has successfully prevented, contained and safely adapted to the pandemic, while ensuring continuation in education, research, technological transfer, and international cooperation through online channel," said President Phuc.
He urged the Academy to find ways to identify Vietnam's agriculture role and transform to keep pace with global development and digitalization and turn challenges into opportunities.
