In order to make economic cooperation a cornerstone of the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership, the two leaders agreed to improve the efficiency of bilateral cooperation mechanisms, especially the Intergovernmental Committee for Economic-Trade-Scientific-Technical Cooperation, soon agree and implement the Master Plan for the development of Vietnam-Russia cooperation until 2030 and the List of priority tasks for Vietnam and Russia for the 2024-2025 period, strengthen financial and credit cooperation in accordance with international law and legal regulations of the two countries.

Prime Minister Chinh urged the two sides to maximize the advantages of the Vietnam- Eurasian Free Trade Agreement, asking the Russian side to continue removing trade barriers in order to further facilitate bilateral trade, especially the export of consumer goods and Vietnam's strong agricultural and aquatic products to Russia.

Chinh proposed Russia increase the quota for Vietnam's rice exports and create favorable conditions for Russian agricultural exports to access the Vietnamese market.
President Putin agreed with Vietnam's proposal to soon deploy a number of large-scale Russian lighthouse projects on infrastructure, railways, inner-city trains, subways, and renewable energy in Vietnam and create favorable conditions for businesses of the two countries to expand investment in each other's territories.
The two leaders also agreed to promote cooperation in oil and gas, energy, science, technology, information, communication, culture, sports, tourism, and labor as well as the teaching of Vietnamese and Russian languages in each respective country.
The two leaders also discussed regional and global issues of mutual concern.
