As one of northern Vietnam's fastest-growing industrial and urban hubs, Quang Ninh has seen rising demand for rental accommodation. Preliminary estimates from the construction sector show that the province currently needs around 27,000 rental apartments, far exceeding the existing supply.

Located in the Yen Thanh Urban Area, the project will be developed on a 3,500-square-meter site and will provide 158 rental apartments.

Do Hoanh, Deputy Director of the Quang Ninh Department of Construction, said: “The Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee has appointed Project Management Unit No. 1 to develop and oversee the province's first rental housing project in Uong Bi. Provincial authorities are fast-tracking the project as demand for affordable rental housing continues to grow. We are preparing proposals for new rental housing projects, with groundbreaking planned for the third and fourth quarters of 2026.”

So far, Quang Ninh has completed three social housing projects, delivering 2,370 apartments, while 15 additional projects are currently under construction, with a combined capacity of more than 18,500 apartments.
