The province has kept residents and tourists updated on the storm's path and imposed a ban on all marine activities from 12:00 p.m. on Friday. All vessels operating at sea were ordered to return to shore or designated shelters by 7:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Local authorities have also inspected aquaculture farms, floating fish cages, fishing vessels and other high-risk areas, reinforcing vulnerable infrastructure and preparing evacuation plans for residents and property.

On Friday, authorities in the Co To Special Zone, together with transport operators, arranged 18 ferry services to safely transport 3,147 passengers back to the mainland.
