Mr. Trong told the 12th plenum of the Party Central Committee, which began in Hanoi on Monday that personnel work must be a strict, scientific, and consistent process in order to ensure objectivity and democracy.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Tuan of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics stressed the need to nominate people of great responsibility for the 13th National Party Congress.
He said the Party Central Committee needs to be very careful in preparing personnel for the upcoming tenure, avoiding individuals degraded in political ideology and morality. Party organizations need to thoroughly review each nominee’s biography, qualifications, and record, he added.
Former President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Pham The Duyet said Party organizations at all levels need to be responsible in nominating personnel for the Party.
