Speaking at a press conference, Peskov stated that any meeting held outside Moscow would only be meaningful in finalizing the conflict settlement process, adding that “a great deal of work remains to be done” before such a resolution can be achieved.

He also said President Vladimir Putin reaffirmed that Moscow remains open to communication channels related to the conflict and welcomed mediation efforts by the United States.

According to Peskov, President Putin also referred to ongoing work within a trilateral framework and expressed hope that the United States would continue playing a mediating role in the peace process.
