According to the Ministry, five missiles were intercepted by Russian air defenses, while fragments from one caused a fire at a military facility, which was quickly extinguished. No casualties or significant damage were reported.

Ukraine confirmed targeting a weapons depot in Bryansk but did not specify the weapon used.

The strikes came two days after the US reportedly lifted restrictions on Ukraine using long-range weapons against Russian territory and on the same day when Russian President Vladimir Putin approved a new nuclear doctrine.
