Russian GAZ group to start producing cars in Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - Russia’s GAZ Group will begin assembling vehicles in Vietnam, the Russian TASS News Agency said, quoting Maxim Akimov, head of the Russian Intergovernmental Commission of the Russian Federation and Vietnam on Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation.

Akimov said the first assembly equipment has been delivered to Vietnam and 380 more units will be delivered this year.

The GAZ automobile company accounts for 45% of vehicles sales in Russia.
