The 10th Future Investment Initiative conference had been scheduled for October 26 through 29 in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
Organizers said the postponement is intended to ensure that the landmark edition meets expectations for participation, quality, and impact. They said new dates would be announced soon, while existing registrations and cooperation agreements would remain valid.
The annual conference, often dubbed "Davos in the Desert," plays an important role in Saudi Arabia's efforts to diversify its oil-dependent economy and attract foreign investment in sectors including technology, tourism, and sports.
On the same day, authorities in Yemen's Shabwa province said a Houthi missile attack on the al-Alam military base killed at least 58 people and injured more than 200 others. According to data from aviation analytics company Cirium, more than 45% of flights departing from Saudi Arabian airports had been canceled since October 8.
