The competition aims to encourage young people to explore heritage from their own perspectives, telling stories about talented individuals past and present, as well as knowledge, teachers, creativity, dedication, and responsibility toward the community.

“With the theme ‘Today’s Talents,’ we hope to broaden the message about talented people, the tradition of learning, human responsibility, and the role and value of knowledge - both past and present - for Vietnamese people in today’s era. I truly hope we will see outstanding short films over the next three months,” said Ngo Phuong Lan, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Cinematography Promotion Association.

Bui Nhu Lai, Principal of the Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema, said the contest is not only for young filmmakers trained at professional theatre and cinema schools, but also for students from many different educational backgrounds.

“Young people will bring fresh ideas and perspectives on development, human resources, culture, and the diverse values of the nation today. I believe this is a competition with great potential and much to look forward to,” he added.
