The developments will provide nearly 6,000 apartments, including units both for sale and for rent. Located in Phan Dinh Phung, Bach Quang, Van Xuan, and Linh Son wards, the projects are expected to significantly expand the supply of affordable housing for workers once completed.

The province is also pursuing a long-term strategy to develop social housing in tandem with urbanization, while ensuring synchronized technical and social infrastructure.

Mr. Le Cao Hai, Head of the Housing and Technical Infrastructure Management Division under the Thai Nguyen Department of Construction, said: "This year, Thai Nguyen plans to approve investment policies for 10 to 12 social housing projects, with a target of completing 5,000 to 6,000 apartments. By 2030, the province will continue to review and refine its development plans while selecting investors to build large-scale social housing complexes with integrated technical and social infrastructure, ensuring adequate housing and essential public services for residents."

According to the provincial plan, between June 29 and July 2, Thai Nguyen will also break ground on a series of key projects in transport infrastructure, digital infrastructure, and social housing, with a combined investment of nearly 1.3 billion USD.
