The King said that the visit would contribute to deepening the relationship between the two countries. He congratulated Vietnam on its socio-economic development achievements and expressed confidence that Vietnam will continue to achieve even greater successes in national development and improving the lives of its people.
General Secretary and President Lam said Vietnam values the relationship between the two countries. He informed of the very successful results of the talks with Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, in which the two sides signed an Action Program to implement the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the period 2026-2031. Mr. Lam said he hopes that the King would continue to pay attention to and support the promotion of key areas of cooperation between the two countries.
Earlier, the General Secretary and President and his wife laid a wreath at the funeral of Queen Mother Sirikit of Thailand and signed the condolence book. Also on Thursday, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly, wife of the Vietnamese top leader, met with Mrs. Thananon Charnvirakul, wife of the Thai Prime Minister.
