During the meeting, Mr. Lam called on the Thai Parliament to continue paying attention to, supporting, and creating favorable conditions for the effective implementation of cooperation agreements with Vietnam. They include the Action Program for the implementation of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the period 2026-2031.
The parliament speaker agreed to coordinate with the Vietnamese National Assembly to strengthen cooperation; effectively implement the Cooperation Agreement between the two parliaments signed in 2023; strengthen exchanges of delegations, high-level and other contacts; promote cooperation between specialized agencies, friendship parliamentary groups, female parliamentarians, and young parliamentarians. He stressed the need to expand the sharing of experiences in lawmaking, digital transformation, green growth, and climate change response.
Both sides affirmed their commitment to close cooperation within regional and global inter-parliamentary mechanisms, contributing to strengthening ASEAN solidarity and maintaining peace, stability, and sustainable development.
