The top leader and other deputies from Constituency No. 1 of Hanoi City met with voters from 10 wards, including Ba Dinh, Ngoc Ha, Giang Vo, Dong Da, Kim Lien, Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam, Lang, O Cho Dua, Hoan Kiem, and Cua Nam.

At the meeting, voters commented that the session in April, 2026 saw the National Assembly pass many important laws and resolutions covering socio-economic development, finance and budget, social security, and state management. These are issues of great public interest, as they directly impact employment, income, social policies, and the quality of daily life.

Responding to voters' questions regarding the effectiveness of the two-tiered local government model, General Secretary and President Lam said, “Voters acknowledge that the apparatus is initially more streamlined, the grassroots level is more proactive, and administrative procedures are more convenient. However, what the people desire is that the new model must create a real effect in serving the people and businesses."

"The grassroots level must truly be close to the people, understand their needs for employment, vocational training, career change, and connect the government and businesses, based on training linked to employment and the daily lives of the people," he added.

General Secretary and President Lam outlined major directions for Hanoi, including placing the Capital Law and the Capital Planning in a unified whole for enforcement.
