General Secretary and President Lam suggested that Long Thanh International Airport be the nucleus for restructuring the city's development space. From Long Thanh, an urban ecosystem must be formed encompassing airport services, aviation, commerce, finance, conferences, exhibitions, training, healthcare, tourism, and other high-quality services, he added.
“Given its characteristics as a major industrial center with a large workforce and abundant migrant labor, the city needs to consider social housing, worker housing, schools, hospitals, cultural institutions, public spaces, and the lives of workers as essential foundations for sustainable development. At the same time, better care must be given to remote, ethnic minority, and border areas,” Mr. Lam said.
Earlier, at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial within the Dong Nai City Party Committee compound, General Secretary and President To Lam offered incense in commemoration and gratitude for the immense contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, on the 136th anniversary of his birth (May 19).
