Receiving Eric Schmidt, former chairman of Google, and a delegation of artificial intelligence experts, Mr. Lam said these efforts are crucial to achieving Vietnam’s goal of becoming a high-income, developed nation by 2045.
He called on the guests to continue supporting Vietnam in shaping its vision, policies, and ecosystem for AI development. The leader also urged members of the delegation, including Christopher Nguyen, CEO of Aitomatic, to encourage overseas Vietnamese experts, intellectuals, and technology entrepreneurs to contribute their knowledge, experience, and resources to the country’s development.
Schmidt said Vietnam possesses many advantages for advancing artificial intelligence, particularly its young and dynamic workforce, strong adaptability, and supportive innovation environment.
He affirmed that he and other experts would continue supporting Vietnam’s digital transformation, AI development, and innovation efforts.
