The top leader attended and delivered a speech at a ceremony in Hanoi on Saturday to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the traditional day of the People's Security Force (July 12). He praised the achievements and contributions of the People's Security Force to the cause of national security protection and the building and safeguarding of the Fatherland.
“Security in the new era must be extremely proactive and vigilant, not only protecting the Party, the State, the people, the regime, institutions, and national sovereignty from threats, but also expanding to protect the constituent elements of national competitiveness and development. Efforts must be made to ensure the stable operation of the entire economic, social, and technological system with regime and ruling security being crucial, and human security and social trust being central to all security policies,” the top leader said.
General Secretary and President Lam also requested the People's Security Force to promote the application of science and technology, strengthen security protection in cyberspace, data, technology, information and communication, and the economy. He stressed the need to closely integrate external security with internal security, firmly protect security on the ground, in cyberspace, digital space, and external space.
The international security integration strategy must continue to be implemented at a new level, proactively contributing to regional and global peace and stability, thereby enhancing the country's position and creating a favorable environment for national development.
On this occasion, Party General Secretary and State President To Lam presented the Gold Star Order to the People's Security Force.
