He made the remarks while working with the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee on Wednesday on growth scenarios and key tasks for 2026-2030, as well as the two-tier local government model.
“Focus should be placed on sectors where the province holds advantages, including the marine economy, energy, tourism, high-tech agriculture and processing industries. It is crucial to capitalize on Quang Tri’s role as the East-West Economic Corridor’s gateway to the sea to develop seaports, logistics, processing, border trade and import-export activities,” Mr. Lam said.
The top leader said seaports and coastal areas must become core growth engines, while bottlenecks related to transport infrastructure, administrative procedures, human resources and the investment environment should be removed. He also called for strong efforts to achieve double-digit growth in 2026 while ensuring sustainability through higher productivity, efficient investment and new growth drivers.
Mr. Lam again emphasized science and technology, innovation and digital transformation as major development breakthroughs.
