The trip demonstrates Vietnam's appreciation for the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with India and the South Asian region in general, said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Manh Cuong. It aims to strengthen relations in all aspects so as to create new momentum and shape a framework for bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and India to a new level in the next phase, he added.
During this visit, General Secretary and President Lam will discuss with senior Indian leaders strategic directions to promote cooperation, create breakthroughs in potential areas such as science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, healthcare, clean energy, infrastructure, and boost people-to-people exchanges, culture, and religion.
This is an opportunity for the two countries to expand the scope of cooperation, broaden trade and investment markets, strengthen supply chains, and cooperate in science and technology to attract resources for development. Deputy Minister Cuong said the upcoming State visit to India by Party General Secretary and State President To Lam demonstrates the shared determination to transform and elevate the traditional friendship between Vietnam and India, which has a long history and strategic depth.
