The event honored outstanding grassroots trade union chairpersons for their achievements in workplace dialogue and collective bargaining in 2026. Chairman Man called on trade unions to step up efforts to implement national resolutions.
“Trade unions should continue to effectively implement the resolutions of the 14th National Party Congress, the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, along with their term and annual work plans," said Chairman Man. "Innovation, thrift, and working method reforms must be promoted. Greater use of science and technology, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence is essential. Trade unions must help build a modern, strong working class that leads Vietnam’s industrialization and modernization and contributes to the global workers’ movement.”
Chairman Man stressed the need to build a strong contingent of trade union officials at all levels, while modernizing organizational structures and operations. Trade unions should enhance the effectiveness of dialogue and collective bargaining, and take a more active role in proposing, developing and refining policies and laws related to workers and trade unions, he said.
