UK optimistic on achieving Brexit deal

(VOVWORLD) - The UK is optimistic about reaching a Brexit deal with the EU, Brexit Secretary Stephen Barclay said after a meeting with chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier at the EU Commission headquarters in Brussels on Friday.

Mr. Barclay told reporters that both European Commission President Juncker and Prime Minister Boris Johnson think that a deal is doable. He announced the schedule for both sides’ technical experts and the meeting between Prime Minister Johnson and European Council President Donald Tusk next week.
