The UN Secretary-General expressed support for Vietnam and Ambassador Do Hung Viet in his role as President of the Conference, scheduled to take place from next Monday to May 22, and expressed confidence that the conference will deliver positive results that will contribute to maintaining international peace and security.

He praised Vietnam’s contributions to multilateralism and called for stronger cooperation between the UN and Vietnam in sustainable development and addressing global issues.

Ambassador Viet thanked the UN Secretariat for its coordination and support, underscored the importance of the upcoming conference, and expressed his wish to continue receiving the Secretary-General’s support to help achieve consensus outcomes.
