(VOVworld) – On Tuesday US President Barack Obama convened a meeting with senior security officials to review terror threats and preparedness ahead of the 13th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.

Security has been tightened in public places across the US. In New York thousands of officers have been deployed in specialized teams, with bomb-sniffing dogs, undercover officers, Geiger counters, and other high-tech tools. Intelligence officers around the globe have been directed to report regularly while monitoring events, especially in the Middle East.
