In his opening remarks, Trump declared that the United States is entering a new “Golden Age,” highlighting the nation’s economic strength, military power and technological leadership. He praised the American people as the foundation of the country’s success and outlined key priorities of his second term, including the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, immigration enforcement and diplomatic efforts involving Iran.
“The best is yet to come,” Trump said at the conclusion of his roughly 30-minute address, adding that “America is back” as the nation prepares to commemorate 250 years of independence.
The launch event featured performances by musicians and military bands, as well as flyovers by F-16 and F-35 fighter jets and B-2 Spirit stealth bombers. Security was heightened as part of a broader plan to safeguard the anniversary celebrations.
The commemorative program begins with the Great American State Fair, running through July 10 on the National Mall and featuring representatives from all 50 states and six US territories.
