Staffed by more than 400 experienced doctors and healthcare professionals transferred from the hospital’s Hanoi headquarters and equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology, the new facility is expected to help ease pressure on central hospitals while bringing high-quality healthcare services closer to residents in the southern Red River Delta and neighboring provinces.
In its initial phase of operation, the hospital will provide around 300 beds and 12 modern operating rooms. Priority specialties include trauma and orthopedics, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, rehabilitation medicine, and gastrointestinal surgery.
“I believe the quality of medical services at the Ninh Binh campus may even surpass that of our Hanoi facility. The equipment here is more advanced than what we currently have in Hanoi, and it is being operated by highly experienced doctors and medical staff transferred from the Hanoi campus,” said Associate Professor Dr. Duong Duc Hung, Director of Viet Duc University Hospital.
Construction of the Ninh Binh campus began in 2015 with a total investment of approximately 190 million USD. The hospital has a planned capacity of 1,000 beds.
Earlier, the Ninh Binh campus of Bach Mai Hospital also began providing medical examination and treatment services in late June.
