Vietnam, Australia boost bilateral cooperation in security

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam and Australia should maintain their bilateral cooperation in security to develop the Vietnam-Australia strategic partnership, said Minister of Public Security General To Lam during a meeting with visiting Deputy Secretary for Policy under the Australian Department of Home Affairs Marc Ablong.

Mr. Lam hoped that Australia will work closely with Vietnam while Vietnam is the 2020 ASEAN Chair and a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 2020-2021 period.

Mr. Ablong said Australia is eager to cooperate with Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security in all fields, especially crime prevention.
