Ambassador Quy addressed the UN Security Council’s open debate on the Middle East on Wednesday. He said that the rhetoric and provocative actions are deepening divisions between Israelis and Palestinians and hinder peace efforts. The Ambassador called on the parties to take necessary measures to protect children in conflict.
He urged the parties’ leaders to revitalize the peace process and called on the relevant authorities and the international community to redouble their efforts to stop the violence and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian assistance, which is more critical than ever for Palestinian civilians, particularly in Gaza.
