The call was delivered by Ambassador Do Hung Viet at a meeting of the movement held on Tuesday at the United Nations Headquarters.

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla told delegates that the embargo and sanctions continue to create major challenges for Cuba’s socio-economic development and people’s daily lives, particularly in essential sectors such as energy, food and healthcare. He also expressed concern over threats involving the use of force against the country.

Ambassador Viet stressed that solidarity with nations facing pressure, coercion and injustice remains a core value of the Non-Aligned Movement, grounded in the principles of independence, sovereign equality, non-interference, and peaceful coexistence.
