Minister Trung thanked Ms. Kallas and the European External Action Service for their close, proactive, and effective coordination in arranging Party General Secretary and State President To Lam’s official visit to the EU.
He emphasized that the visit was of historic significance, reflecting deepening political trust and both sides’ strong commitment to elevating the Vietnam-EU Comprehensive Strategic Partnership to a new level.
Ms. Kallas affirmed that the EU attaches great importance to its relationship with Vietnam, a priority partner in the Indo-Pacific region.
She noted that Vietnam and the EU share many views and interests, including promoting multilateralism, maintaining a rules-based international order, supporting free trade, ensuring the safety and security of navigation and overflight, and peacefully resolving disputes in accordance with international law.
