The ceremony also observed the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Canada and Vietnam.
She said strong growth in economic cooperation between Canada and Vietnam is largely attributable to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
The Deputy Foreign Minister suggested the two countries continue to develop their relationship and expand cooperation in various fields. Canada’s investment in Vietnam has totaled nearly 2.3 billion USD, says the Deputy Foreign Minister.
Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Vinh Quang informed 250 delegates about Vietnam’s economic development prospects, saying Vietnam targets growth rate at 6% this year to make Vietnam the 35th largest market in the world, the 14th in the Asia-Pacific region and the 4th in ASEAN.
