During a meeting with New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam Caroline Beresford, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong said bilateral relations continue to develop positively and are becoming increasingly substantive and effective across a wide range of sectors.

He called for closer coordination to fully leverage existing strengths in education, agriculture and trade, while promoting people-to-people exchanges and preparing for upcoming high-level bilateral activities.

Mr. Cuong also highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation in science and technology, sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, education and workforce development.

Ambassador Beresford reaffirmed New Zealand’s commitment to supporting Vietnam, citing her country’s expertise in high-tech agriculture, digital transformation, digital government, digital healthcare, online education and space technology.
