During a working visit to the US, Mr. Hai met with Melissa Fleming, UN Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications, on Tuesday.

He called for stronger cooperation and experience-sharing in ensuring transparent and reliable information, narrowing the digital divide, and respecting cultural and linguistic diversity.

Melissa Fleming commended Vietnam’s achievements and contributions to digital transformation, expanded access to information and international cooperation, including its active participation in the UN Committee on Information.

She expressed her hope for continued cooperation with Vietnam to advance shared goals in information, communications and inclusive, sustainable digital development.
